GLL as lead sponsor, together with Sports Match Funding, will enable a unique & valuable London Boroughs athletics development and skills programme in partnership with the London Coaching Foundation
• Engaging and assisting young people of all backgrounds to participate and achieve their full athletics sporting potential
• To drive participation & radically improve and accelerate learning & skills in Track and Field Coaching and Athletics.
Part 1 - “Welcome to Athletics Coaching”
Participants All comers aged 15 – 54 yrs
Teachers/”Trackside” Parents/College students etc who are interested in athletics coaching or who already assist at club/school/community events and want to elevate their learning, skills and competencies and or become a qualified athletics coach
Part 2 - “Athletics Coaching Masterclass”
Participants All comers aged 15 – 54 yrs
L1 coaches/ Young Athletes/ Sports Teachers etc with an existing qualification or understanding/experience of sports and/or coaching who want to improve, develop and up skills or achieve the next level qualification
Part 3 – “Talent Quest”
Participants All comers aged 15 – 23 yrs
Plus Participants from the Part 1 Coaching programme, are mentored by Elite/Olympian coaches for practical coaching experience via these events
