From 1st of January 2014 PRO- ACTIVE and PRO-ACTIVE North London are called London Sport and London Sport (North). London Sport is the new sport and physical activity partnership for London. As well as being the County Sports Partnership for London, funded mainly by Sport England, it is also supported by the GLA.
PRO-ACTIVE North London staff were the first PRO-ACTIVE to transfer with the other PRO-ACTIVES transferring shortly.
The aim of the P-AL Business Transformation Project is to set out a clear, coordinated approach to community sport in London that will allow us to capitalise on the excitement and energy generated by the Games and maximise the chance of securing a lasting sporting legacy – and, more importantly, to build upon the work that has been done in the years leading up to 2012.
In total there are five London Sport Partnerships in the East, Central, North, South and West of London and they are part of the national County Sports Partnership network. Each Partnership consists of a network of organisations committed to working together to increase participation in physical activity and sport.
Our vision is:
To improve the health and well being of Londoners, provide strategic co-ordination and contribute to the London 2012 legacy through sport and physical activity.
