Job Purpose
To manage, co-ordinate and be accountable for the work of a multidisciplinary sports, training and employment support team and to ensure the provision of a high quality, comprehensive and effective service.
To lead on and drive forward the ‘Tigers BAME Olympic 2012 Inclusion Project’ targeting Black Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities across Brent, Camden, Ealing, Tower Hamlets and Westminster, at a strategic level.
To ensure that the team meets defined standards/ targets set out in the project
To contribute to the development of policy and services relevant to this area of work.
Responsible for:

Development of and access to high quality services, identifying and responding to the needs of users.

Strategic planning and policy development, including a model of practice of engaging BAME young people and women in physical activity.

Effective evaluation & monitoring of the users in line with London Development Agency (LDA) guidelines.

Effective financial management and allocation of resources related project.

To lead the development and implementation of equal opportunities principles and practice in all aspects of service delivery to reflect the needs of London Tigers target group of BAME communities including Muslim women.
Work Environment
The post holder is based at London Tigers head office, WECH Community Centre, however will frequently visit other offices and premise to carry out sessions/ workshops and activities.
Although office hours are worked there will be a need to be flexible for evening and the weekend as necessary. The post holder will need to ensure they are able to work core office hours between 10am – 3 pm three days a week and work the remaining hours flexibly. This is a full time post at 36 hours per week.
