Camden’s 2012 ‘welcome the world’ volunteering programme needs volunteers, either residents or people that work or go to school or college in the borough, to welcome the thousands of visitors to Camden.
If you enjoy meeting and greeting new people, being part of a team and providing excellent customer service, this could be the opportunity for you. Full training will be provided.•Team leaders need to be aged 18+ years old by 4 June 2012
•Team members need to be aged 16+ years old by 4 June 2012
•Volunteers are asked to commit to five hours a day for five consecutive days during the games.
What the role involves:
•Provide a friendly welcome to visitors
•Provide visitors with leaflets and information relating to local businesses, services, transport and attractions along with any Olympic related material.
•Give verbal advice and information to visitors
•Assist in managing crowds
•Disseminate important or emergency information as and when required
•Team leaders are asked to support members in their volunteering role and offer a more supervisory role
•Being able to volunteer whatever the weather
