Description
Greenhouse helps young people living in disadvantaged communities to develop positive life skills through sport & performing arts, targeting those who may not otherwise have access to these opportunities. Our inclusive, wide ranging programmes include full time provision delivered in schools & community club settings throughout the London region. Programmes are delivered by a diverse and multi-talented team of full and part time coaches who are supported by a number of other paid and voluntary staff.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilful, and dynamic individual to work closely with a multidisciplinary school team. You will have a strong track record of successfully delivering and project managing high quality multisports coaching programmes for pupils aged 2-19 years old in an inclusive and SEN school setting. You will have a passion for and firsthand knowledge of working with young people with special educational needs and/or profound physical disabilities (PMLD) with no voluntary movement and communication challenges. You will also have experience of mainstream games delivery for primary school participants and will be able to use adapted techniques to meet and incorporate the needs of PMLD young people.
The Role
This full time Head Coach position will be based within our partner school in Islington and will play a key collaborative role within a multidisciplinary team in order to further raise student achievement. The Head Coach will be school based and will lead the planning and delivery of a comprehensive programme of high quality multisports coaching for young people in both primary and secondary school with severe learning difficulties, and profound and multiple physical/learning disabilities.
Following the success of our existing Multisports Programmes delivered in special educational needs schools across London, we are continuing to expand and are expecting further opportunities to arise in Islington in the near future. Candidates who are not successful on this occasion may also be considered for those future roles.
All Greenhouse employees are provided with comprehensive Continuous Professional Development support and are expected to commit fully to Greenhouse's Safeguarding Children and Equalities Policies.
