This project aims to enhance the support to community sport and physical activity organisations and clubs across central London boroughs. It recognises that any participation legacy from London 2012 will be achieved through the tireless work of volunteers, clubs and other organisations delivering opportunities to their local communities. The aim is to provide support so they can:

  • Offer a higher quality of service
  • Provide their services to more people
  • Become more sustainable over the long-term

Club Leaders

Club Leaders

Club Leaders is part of the Olympic Legacy programme, Places People Play, and provides free training and support to those doing the day-to-day running of community sport, helping create a robust, economically sustainable and enterprising club network.


Club Leaders is being delivered by Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) who are working with Sport England to help improve business skills in sports clubs by bringing their knowledge and experience to the programme.

 

GiaG logo Give it a Go is a Free Sport programme for all ages and abilities that takes place across Central London twice a year.  Funded by the Mayors Free Sport programme, Give it a Go provides small grants to sport and physical activity providers in order to set up 8 sessions of free sports or activities.  For the October-November 2012 Olympic and Paralympic inspired Give it a Go project summary click here
