Other Priorities and Plans for Central London

Community Strategies and LAAs - A sustainable community strategy (SCS) is the long-term vision and plan for a local area. Preparation of a sustainable community strategy (SCS) is a requirement for all council. Local Area Agreements (LAAs) are the mechanism for making the vision a reality and were introduced in 2004, as a framework for partnership working at local level; and between local areas and central government. The current round of LAAs runs until March 2011.).

Sport directly relates to a number of targets appearing in LAAs for the seven Central London Boroughs including:

  • LAA Targets for Central London Boroughs

Apart from the targets above the LAA's also signal plenty of further opportunities to use the best that sport has to offer in meeting other local priorities
