London Club of the Year

Nominations for the 2012 PRO-ACTIVE London Awards for Community Sport and Physical Activity are now open, and are looking for a deserving candidate to be named Club of the Year.

The Awards, sponsored by GLL, are the only regional awards which celebrate the contribution of thousands of people, the majority of whom are volunteers, who make it possible for so many people to take part.

The Club of the Year Award sponsored by the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation is looking for an exceptional club that has gone out of its way to encourage people to participate either at their club, or within their chosen sport. Whether it is through innovative ideas, specific targeting within the local community or establishing local partnerships, the club should act as a role model for other clubs to follow.

The nominations will be reviewed by an experienced panel of experts and three short listed clubs will be invited to the event, which will take place at the Kia Oval on the evening of the 27th April 2012. The evening will see hundreds of people from local sports clubs and community organisations rub shoulders with sports stars and enjoy a champagne reception, three course meal and entertainment throughout the evening.
