The Club Leaders Learning Bus will visit the Hyde Park Live Site 27 July – Saturday 11 August!
What is Club Leaders?
The Club Leaders project aims to train and support leaders of sports clubs just like you, in the business of running a club! This national project is part of Sport England's Places People Play Olympic legacy programme and is completely free of charge. The overall aim is to help sports clubs become more successful and sustainable.
What Training will be delivered?
Following the results of our research phase, we are initially providing training in:
•Business and financial planning;
•Marketing;
•Governance; and
•Managing Capital Projects
How will Training be Delivered?
•A dynamic Club Leaders online site with e-learning, discussion forums, news, events and much more;
•Face to face seminars led by subject matter experts across the country
•One-to-one mentoring to focus on those clubs most in need to get them on the right track; and
•The “Learning Bus” will be touring the country so the programme can focus on real people, in their own environment, addressing their specific needs.
Further modules in these areas and other areas of identified need are currently being developed based on demand and are scheduled for launch over the course of 2012. We will also be sign-posting to other relevant content from existing programmes such as runningsports.
