WANTED! SPORTS OFFICIALS FOR LONDON!!
Passionate about sport? Inspired by the 2008 Olympics? A brand new funding opportunity has been created so YOU can get involved in sport in London...
The London Development Agency has launched an exciting funding initiative to encourage Londoners aged 16+ to get involved in sport in London in the lead-up to the 2012 Olympics.
The scheme, named Official Sports London, has been designed to allow people the chance to earn sports officiating qualifications as more and more people take up competitive sport in the build up to London 2012.
If you have a passion for sport and are happy to volunteer your time, successful applicants will receive funding which could cover up to 80% of the course and equipment costs, transport, accommodation and child and adult care needs whilst you complete your course with the 15 hours of officiating experience needed to become a fully-fledged Sports Official.
This opportunity could see you working in the sport of your choice in everything from a local competition to the international Olympic and Paralympic games.
If you're interested in this venture, visit www.officialsports.org or contact Deirdre Cole on 020 7749 9173/ admin@officialsports.org.
