Step into Sport and Youth Volunteering

Interested in sport? Want to improve your CV? Keen to learn and develop new skills?

Volunteering in sport is an excellent way to learn and develop a wide range of skills, which are transferable to further education or your future career.

Why volunteer in Sport?

As well as boosting your CV with lots of experience, skills and knowledge, volunteering helps you to:

  • Meet new people
  • Build confidence
  • Try out potential career paths
  • Make a difference in your community
  • Access training opportunities
  • Gain rewards and recognition for your work

What sort of volunteering can I do?

You don't have to be a coach to volunteer in sport. There are many opportunities for young volunteers to gain experience as sports coaches, however you can also get involved in officiating or refereeing, administration, website design, marketing and promotion and organising events. Young volunteers can write match reports, help clubs to develop or improve their websites, organise or assist at local or regional events - the skys the limit!
