London Leadership Programme
London Leadership Programme
The leadership programme is designed to benefit:
- You - by finding out more about yourself to enhance your performance.
- Your team – by giving you tools and techniques to effectively support others.
- Your organisation – by expanding your network and influence within London.
The leadership programme will also benefit the five PRO-ACTIVE London Partnerships by enhancing partnership working within and between their networks and by contributing to the delivery of their strategies. It is for these reasons that all five of the PRO-ACTIVE Partnerships are sponsoring the leadership programme.
There are a maximum of 25 places. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity.
AIM AND OBJECTIVES
Leaders inspire and motivate others. The aim of the programme is to: build a high performing network of inspired leaders to transform sport and physical activity across London with support from the five PRO-ACTIVE LONDON Partnerships. By making a significant investment in our current and future leaders we believe we are more likely to achieve our shared aspiration. Participants on the programme will be supported to achieve the following objectives:
• Experience different learning environments to stimulate interest and understanding
• Set challenges to give you new experiences and opportunities to learn from others by giving you tools and resources to develop your leadership skills
• Understand your learning styles and those of the people you need to influence
• Identify your strengths and put them to good use
• Support you to set your own strategic challenge to be achieved by the end of the Programme
• Provide networking opportunities with people who can help
• Provide insight into performance enhancement and measurement for individuals, teams and projects.
THE PROGRAMME
The design of the programme will be customised to meet the needs of the participants. Key components include:
Psychometric Profiling Using Facet5
Our personalities are shaped in our early years and stay with us for the rest of our lives, unless we have a life changing experience. Facet5 is a psychometric tool proven to be accurate and reliable and used worldwide for personal and business development. It is designed to measure the five fundamental ‘building blocks’ which are relatively stable and consistent and make you what you are. From this picture you can develop ideas about the way you are likely to react or behave in different situations. The process involves completion of a short on-line questionnaire.
Individual Coaching
A one-to-one coaching session will take place during June 2009 lasting approximately 2 hours. This will include feedback and reflection on your psychometric profile, an opportunity to consider your personal development needs and to help you explore suitable ideas for your personal project.
Personal Projects
All participants will be encouraged to undertake a personal project relating to your current role that will also contribute to strategy of the relevant PRO-ACTIVE Partnership. This will enable you to apply the learning as we progress through the event programme with the support of colleagues through structured learning sets.
Development and Networking Events
A series of events will be designed to stimulate interest and motivation and provide tools for personal, team and organisational development.
