Us Girls
What is Us Girls?
Us Girls is a Sport England funded initiative that aims to get 30,000 young women living in disadvantaged communities more active by boosting opportunities for them to play sport within their local communities.
It is being delivered by the Active Women Consortium, a body led by StreetGames. The Us Girls initiative is receiving almost £2.3 million of National Lottery investment from Sport England as part of its Active Women campaign tackle the gender gap in sport.
Us Girls aims to increase and sustain young women's sport participation in the most disadvantaged areas of England.
Where is Us Girls taking place?
Us Girls is a national project being delivered through more than 50 organisations; these organisations are a mixture of local authorities, leisure providers and third sector partners; all with a proven track record of delivering in community settings.
